Experts in AED Systems and CPR Training

Founders of Colorado Heart Rescue, Jayson and Bruce Fraser have an extensive background in group and individual instruction. The American Heart Association has developed what is often called the "Gold Standard" in CPR training techniques. Yet, despite that, the chances of survival with CPR alone is somewhere in the 2% to 4% range. Something more is needed! The chances of survival with the use of a defibrillator has been stated between 70% and 90%. The bottom line is: Both are needed. Hence, we have chosen to represent the one AED that assists with BOTH! The ZOLL AED Plus. Learn more.

The AEDPlus from Zoll

  • AEDPlusSupports the Complete Chain of Survival (from check responsiveness? through chest compressions). The ONLY AED that does this!
  • Supports CPR with audible and visible feedback (for rate and depth of chest compressions)
  • HELPS rescuer with ALL SCA victims (even for those for which no shock is advised)
  • A ONE-PIECE PAD for fast accurate placement of electrodes (that lasts 4 years, not just two)
  • Is powered by INEXPENSIVE Lithium camera batteries available from retail stores (that last five years, and support a daily self-check)
  • Free Event tracking software entire event ECG, Shock history, and timing all recorded and transferable to EMS.
AED mode can be used to analyze a patient's ECG and determine if a shock is advised. Analysis is performed by internal microprocessors that use an algorithm to interpret the heart's electrical signals. Life-threatening arrhythmias are quickly and accurately detected, and the correct therapy is recommended.
WIKI - An automated external defibrillator or AED is a portable electronic device that automatically diagnoses the potentially life threatening cardiac arrhythmias of ventricular fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia in a patient, and is able to treat them through defibrillation, the application of electrical therapy which stops the arrhythmia, allowing the heart to reestablish an effective rhythm.

AEDs are designed to be simple to use for the layman, and the use of AEDs is taught in many first aid, first responder and basic life support (BLS) level CPR classes.
